Day 1 Transfer from Rovaniemi airport to your hotel in Sodankylä. Meet all the other members of the snowmobile safari and your guide, and discuss your program for the coming week. We suggest and early night in preparation for an early start. (overnight Hotel Bear Inn, Sodankylä)

Day 2 An introduction to your snowmobile, to the safety aspects of driving a snowmobile and a short driving lesson. The first day will be relatively easy in order to enable you to become accustomed to the snowmobile, with the long flat tracks through the forests and across the frozen swamplands. Enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride in Lokka. (overnight in cabins/Lokka).

Day 3 Through snow covered pine forests to Inari Lake area. There the scenery changes to fell area. (overnight in cabins, Lake Inari area).

Day 4 Our trip continues further north until you cross the border into Norway and to the edge of the Arctic Sea. (overnight in cabins, Neiden - Norway).

Day 5 Today you finally reach the Arctic Ocean! Raise a glass and toast to an Arctic Sea and then try swimming in the freezing sea with fully insulated survival suits! (overnight in cabins. Neiden).

Day 6 The snowmobile safari continues southwards, through stunning scenery. We visit the Sami museum in Siida and Northern Lapland nature centre. This is probably the longest day trip during the whole safari. (overnight in Saariselkä area).

Day 7 Driving through the National park area back towards Sodankylä. (overnight Hotel Bear Inn, Sodankylä).

Day 8 Transport to Rovaniemi Airport. A pause in the Arctic Circle where you may see Santa Claus and his post office as well as doing some shopping.

Included in the safari cost:
- Return flight, transport to and from Rovaniemi airport, airport taxes etc.
- 7 nights accommodation.
- Full board, with breakfast and dinner at your accommodation and either a packed lunch, lunch stop at a chosen restaurant or cabin or around a campfire en-route.
- Snowmobile, petrol and maintenance.
- Loan of thermal over garment and boots, helmet, balaclava and goggles
- Experienced English speaking guide.
- Visit to a reindeer farm and sled ride
- Swimming with a survival suit in the Arctic Sea (optional).

Tour operation subject to a minimum of 4 participants on each tour. Each individual booking received counted towards the minimum requirement. In the event of less than 4 participants, advice will be provided at least 8 weeks prior to departure.

Important Information:
- Tours are based on one person per snowmobile.
-Finnish law dictates a minimum age of 15 years with a FULL DRIVING LICENCE for all drivers. (please bring your driving licence with you)
-The safari is quite demanding, covering an average of 150 kms per day at speeds of up to 80kms per hour, hence, a certain level of personal fitness is required.
- Personal luggage is carried on the back of the skidoo, therefore we recommend taking a backpack or holdall and perhaps a day pack.
- Accommodation during the safari is in shared rooms, with cabins having shared facilities. Overnights at Sodankyla are in a hotel.
